Trip to Linxia (video)

Here's a video of the trip to Linxia I took during Ramadan. I did a voice-over to help you figure things out. If you're on Facebook, cut that foolishness out. Facebook doesn't import the videos. If you're on my blog for realz, then enjoy.

Did you make that video by yourself? it's impressive! Though it has a sudden ending again. :)

Ni hao, Matthew. Just found your site again amongst my bookmarked pages - sorry to neglect it. Good stuff on their though. I like the video you just posted. Did you travel with anyone in particular? What made you want to travel to this particular region? I guess your mandarin must be pretty awesome by now. I'm in choir right now comprised of employees from the World Bank and IMF and some other international groups (I don't work for either but am connected through my dad). Politics aside, it's an interesting group of internationals and none of the songs we're singing are in English. There's Croatian, Polish, Mandarin Chinese, Latin, and Russian, and Jamaican English. It's pretty fascinating actually. Hope all is well with you. Peace.

Hi Mathieu,
So, you don't know me but I'm a 23 year old girl living in Toronto, just moved back here from Halifax after being at Dalhousie, blah blah blah, and after conducting a phone interview with a company offering me a teaching position in Chengdu last night, I decided to do a little google research on the place...
Your blog came up after i entered "cost of living chengdu" or something of that nature, and I clicked on it...was about to leave the blog after i realized it wasn't what I was looking for (and I dont usually creep random peoples blogs) BUT THEN...your "Save Ginny Weasley" song came on and I instantly loved it...being a fan of Harry Potter and acoustic guitar and all.....
so since I am thinking of picking up and moving to Chengdu come January, and don't really know anything about it, or if I will even survive knowing no one and not speaking any chinese....I thought maybe you would be nice enough to answer a couple questions I have about it????
I know this is a really long winded message, but if you feel like chatting, I would love to hear an opinion (other than my recruiters) about the place...
so add me on facebook (Alexandra Gundy) or email me if you feel like it- gunderiffic@yahoo.ca
Thanks alot, i like your songs,
Cheers
