I'm ok! There was a big earthquake in Chengdu, but I'm fine, although that doesn't go for everyone in the city. Most people in the city are still out on the streets, but the power is back on, and I've made my way home and ventured inside to send some updates. I plan on sleeping inside tonight, too. I figure if the building hasn't fallen yet...
Seriously, though. No buildings have fallen.
Anyway, I'm fine, so for those of you to whom it might have occurred to worry: don't.

When you live abroad for enough years, most of your friends stop reading your blog. So I update less often than I used to. But eventually those friends stop being your friends and you have new (and better?) friends. And maybe they're curious about your blog. So I still keep it going, whenever I have videos, mostly.

Thanks for letting us all know you're ok. I wasn't sure you's still have internet access. Did the insects and animals give you warning signs that something was coming? I remember being in St. Louis right before an earthquake one time and all the ants started crawling out of the ground.
